What I Do

My inspiration for teaching the violin comes from the work of Dr. Shin'ichi Suzuki.

He said that music teachers should try to inspire beautiful souls instead of creating musicians.

I do this by teaching children to learn how to study,
to achieve personal discipline and to learn how to solve complex problems one small step at a time.

That's what I do every day...for over 30 years now!

My students have gone on to elite institutions such as Harvard, Princeton, Vassar, Amherst and MIT...

... but most of my students have become doctors and teachers; scientists and politicians; parents and businessmen...real people. Many of them have come back to me later and told them how much I was able to help them in the rest of their lives.

What better "rave review" could I ever hope to have as a musician?
