Do you know what you are learning in Movement Class?

Movement Class integrates rhythm with body motions. Pattern recognition, concentration, expression of musical sounds, nuance and feelings are explored in a creative, fun environment. Musical skills such as sight-reading, dynamics, tempo, counting, and ensemble playing are practiced. Small and large muscle groups and a sense of balance are developed by forcing the use of both sides of the body independently and in exercises of coordination. Teamwork, as well as flexibility of response to the changing demands of the games, highlight growth as a process towards mastery.

You do not need your instrument. Please wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to take off your shoes.
