Students > Listening

Daily listening is critical at all levels! Students who don’t listen consistently have trouble memorizing pieces, rhythmic and intonation problems and difficulties with phrasing, dynamics and other musical concepts.

Listen at least once each day to the entire CD of the current Suzuki book and at least three times a day to each piece currently being polished. For advanced students - When a new piece is assigned, be sure to get a recording immediately. The library is a good source for CDs of violin music.

Check with me if you have questions about what music your child should be listening to. We will be continuing our listening challenge and record listening in your notebook.
